Message from the National President

Dr. Arnab Chatterjee
National President, Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell (BJMC)

It is with profound pride, gratitude, and a deep sense of responsibility that I extend my warmest greetings to all the members, office bearers, affiliated federations, and well-wishers of the Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell (BJMC). Our movement was born out of the conviction that India’s strength lies in the hands of her workers — the true architects of the nation. Every factory worker, every transport driver, every port labourer, and every person who contributes to production and service is an equal stakeholder in the nation’s destiny.

The Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell is not merely a trade union — it is a national movement of consciousness inspired by the philosophy of Integral Humanism propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya ji, and guided by the principles of Antyodaya, which means the upliftment of the last person in the social and economic order. Our ideology integrates nationalism with social justice, discipline with compassion, and self-reliance with collective strength. We believe that the labour force is not a class apart, but an integral part of our national family — the “Rashtriya Parivar.”

In today’s rapidly changing world of technology, automation, and globalization, it becomes essential to ensure that the dignity, security, and welfare of workers remain paramount. The Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell is committed to ensuring that the fruits of economic progress reach the working class in every sector — organized and unorganized, industrial and service-based, rural and urban alike. We are dedicated to protecting labour rights, promoting fair wages, improving working conditions, and expanding access to social security and healthcare benefits.

Our Cell works in alignment with the larger vision of the Bharatiya Janata Party and is an active constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), in association with the Republican Party of India (Athawale). Together, we are committed to building an India that is Atmanirbhar (self-reliant), Shreshtha (excellent), and Sashakt (empowered). Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the working class has gained new recognition as a vital partner in nation-building. Initiatives like “Make in India,” “Skill India,” and “Shramev Jayate” have given unprecedented dignity to labour and empowered millions of workers to realize their potential.

The BJMC has continuously expanded its organizational network across the country through its affiliated bodies such as the All India Port Trust Workers Federation, All India FCI Workers Federation, All India Food and Drinks Workers Federation, and the All India Transport Workers Federation, among others. Each federation works to represent and resolve the issues of its respective sectors, ensuring that the voice of the worker reaches the appropriate forums — from local administrations to national ministries.

As National President, I firmly believe that the true test of leadership lies not in authority but in service. We must be servant leaders, always accessible to our members, sensitive to their concerns, and dedicated to the collective mission of welfare and unity. Our role is to be the bridge between the workers and the government — to ensure that national policies reflect the aspirations and realities of the labour force.

BJMC’s guiding vision remains clear:

– To uphold the dignity of labour in all its forms.

– To create a balanced socio-economic system where workers’ rights and national progress go hand in hand.

– To promote industrial harmony through dialogue, participation, and mutual respect.

– To build a strong, disciplined, and enlightened labour community that contributes actively to India’s growth story.

We are entering a new era — an era of transformation where India stands poised to become a global leader in manufacturing, logistics, and technology. But this transformation will be incomplete without the inclusion of our workers, farmers, and daily earners who form the very backbone of our economy. Therefore, it is our sacred duty to ensure that every worker is trained, protected, and motivated to contribute to the making of a New India — a Vishwaguru Bharat.

On this occasion, I call upon all our State Presidents, National Office Bearers, District Units, and affiliated organizations to rededicate themselves to this noble mission. Let us work hand in hand, with discipline and devotion, to organize the unorganized, strengthen the organized, and empower every segment of the workforce under the tricolour banner of the Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell.

Let us remember that labour is not merely economic activity; it is national service. Every drop of sweat shed by a worker strengthens the foundation of the nation. Together, let us honour that spirit — the spirit of Shramev Jayate (Glory to Labour).

May the Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Cell continue to rise as a symbol of unity, dedication, and selfless service to the working class of Bharat.

Jai Hind! Jai Shramev Jayate!
